You will oversee content publication and provide technical guidance to the production team at PLOS, ensuring workflows and deliverables meet specifications. This role involves managing technical aspects of production, troubleshooting issues, and leading quality improvements in an XML-first publishing environment.

Requirements

• Deep specialization in XML-first based publishing
• Experience with metadata enhancements and content conversions
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues across production workflows
• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in open access publishing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects of production workflow from composition to publication
• Develop and implement quality improvements to production workflows
• Troubleshoot composition/ingestion issues with vendor
• Monitor and resolve syndication/indexing problems
• Train production staff on new workflows and technical updates
