Description

You will own the definition and validation of design criteria for the Raptor engine, manage requirements, and ensure they cascade to subsystems. You will drive corrective actions, maintain design documentation, and lead cross-team initiatives to resolve issues, directly contributing to making life multiplanetary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years professional experience in mechanical design including 3D CAD modeling
• 6+ years professional 3D CAD experience with complex assemblies (preferred)
• 3+ years owning hardware from concept through delivery (preferred)
• Experience with fluid systems, heat transfer, and structural design (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Partner with subsystem owners to translate top-level requirements into measurable criteria
• Audit design documentation to identify gaps and risks, drive closure of findings
• Review test and analysis data to confirm criteria are met
• Develop and refine department processes for design reviews (DCR, PDR, CDR)
• Compile design health reports and facilitate resolution of cross-team conflicts
