💼 About This Role

You'll join Databricks' Public Sector team to build and scale distributed systems for sovereign and air-gapped cloud environments. You'll own the end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical code, tackling high-scale infrastructure challenges where 100% resilience is mandatory. This role offers the chance to work on unique problems across AWS, Azure, and GCP simultaneously.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement highly available backend services using Java, Scala, or Go.
• Solve architectural trade-offs around concurrency, storage, and networking for sovereign clouds.
• Drive zero-waste compute initiatives for resource-constrained environments like GovCloud.
• Partner with Production Engineering to meet security standards and compliance guardrails.

📋 Requirements

• Eligibility for TS/SCI security clearance.
• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Strong production-level experience in at least one of: Java, Scala, Go, or C++.

• Possession of a current polygraph (Counterintelligence or Full Scope).
• Experience building and deploying large-scale SaaS or cloud-native applications.
