You'll lead Resilience Engineering at Affirm, building platforms and practices for safe production validation through load testing and chaos engineering. You'll drive reliability improvements that protect real users from system failures.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and drive the vision for resilience engineering with production load testing and chaos engineering
• Lead and mentor a team building platforms for safe production experimentation
• Establish best practices for safely testing system limits and failure scenarios
• Ensure strong safeguards like isolation boundaries and automated rollback mechanisms

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in reliability, infrastructure, or distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with production load testing or chaos engineering
• Strong understanding of failure modes in distributed systems
• Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and observability tooling

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with a chaos engineering vendor such as Gremlin or Harness
• Strong programming background in Python, Kotlin, or Java
