Description

You will design, install, and operate flight test instrumentation systems for Group 5 unmanned aircraft, ensuring data quality and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and contribute to rapid defense technology innovation.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
• 5+ years experience with embedded data acquisition systems in aircraft
• Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Simulink for data visualization
• Expertise in high channel count mechanical measurement systems and RF telemetry
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Decompose requirements to select and install flight test instrumentation
• Collaborate with UAS engineers and customers to inform safety decisions
• Diagnose instrumentation and RF telemetry issues
• Design and fabricate flight test instrumentation sensors and data paths
• Perform instrument calibrations and pre-flight checks for GO/NO-GO decisions
