💼 About This Role

You'll build and own Apollo Research's security program from end to end as the first dedicated security hire. You'll maintain the trust of frontier AI lab partners while enabling our research mission. You'll shape how Apollo uses AI tools, agents, and integrations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and own Apollo's security programme end to end
• Maintain trust of frontier AI lab partners as primary security contact
• Define security principles and AppSec strategy for engineering
• Drive compliance and certification (ISO 27001, SOC 2)

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years experience in security engineering or related technical role
• Experience building or significantly maturing a security programme
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS IAM, networking, infrastructure review)
• Hands-on experience with endpoint management (Kandji, Jamf) and IAM

✨ Nice to Have

• Ability to review infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for security issues
• Experience as security point of contact for external partners
• Demonstrated interest in AI safety
