💼 About This Role

You'll ensure accuracy of medical claims before transmission to payers, validating CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes. You'll identify coding trends and appeal denied claims to improve revenue cycle efficiency. This role offers exposure to multiple payer systems including Medicare and Medicaid.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Assign/remove CPT, HCPCS and modifiers during claim validation
• Prepare and review super bills prior to submission
• Check insurance payments for accuracy
• Research and appeal denied claims

📋 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical biller
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS codes

✨ Nice to Have

• AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• Knowledge of coding principles and guidelines
