Description

In this role, you'll assemble physical mockups and prototypes of Otto Aerospace's SuperNatural Vision Infotainment System, operate and maintain 3D printers and lab equipment, and support engineering testing. You'll work hands-on to translate CAD models into tangible prototypes for rapid iteration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in lab, manufacturing, prototyping, or technical support role
• Hands-on experience with 3D printing (FDM, SLA) and working from technical drawings or CAD
• Experience with basic electronics assembly and soldering
• Proficiency in 3D printing technologies, mechanical assembly, and lab inventory management

Responsibilities

• Assemble mockups, prototypes, test fixtures from engineering drawings and CAD models
• Operate and maintain 3D printers and fabrication equipment (laser cutters, hand tools, soldering stations)
• Manage lab inventory and supplies, ensuring tools and materials are stocked and organized
• Maintain clean, organized, safe lab environment; enforce safety protocols
• Document prototype builds and fabrication procedures for design improvements
