💼 About This Role

You'll architect and deploy functional safety systems for autonomous wheeled robots operating in real-world construction environments. You'll own the safety architecture from supervised remote E-Stops to non-line-of-sight autonomy, directly configuring Safety PLCs and integrating with the autonomy stack. This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated safety team as the company scales.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design supervised safety systems including remote E-Stops and indicator lighting.
• Integrate and configure Safety PLCs, safety lidars, and related hardware.
• Implement safe control transitions between human operators and autonomy stack.
• Deploy and validate safety systems on physical robots in construction environments.

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with relevant experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise configuring and programming Safety PLCs.
• Proven experience selecting and integrating hardware safety components such as remote E-Stops.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to operate as a self-directed individual contributor.

• Prior experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, or heavy machinery.
