Description

You will perform histological preparations for the tissue whole exome/genome sequencing laboratory, including preparation of tissues, stained slides, macrodissection, and supporting workflow tasks. You may also independently perform testing, reagent and equipment preparation, participate in validations, and train staff.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in histotechnology or chemical/biological sciences with histology experience/training
• Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological sciences with 30 hours biology/chemistry and histology experience/training
• HT (ASCP) certification
• 2+ years of related experience
• Pass post offer criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Perform histological preparations for tissue whole exome/genome sequencing
• Participate in validations and reagent qualifications
• Monitor case management and ensure TAT goals
• Train staff and provide general oversight of daily lab operations
• Participate in updating and creating SOPs
