🛠 Tech Stack

💼 About This Role

You'll architect the laser amplification and distribution systems enabling quantum system calibration for a million-qubit fault-tolerant quantum computer. Your work will directly impact the scalability and performance of PsiQuantum's silicon photonics platform. This role offers the chance to shape the hardware foundation of the first utility-scale quantum computers.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end hardware architecture for CW and pulsed light distribution to photonic chips.
  • Determine optical power requirements based on SNR and system calibration needs.
  • Design and optimize amplification, splitting, routing, timing, and synchronization schemes.
  • Define methods for detecting optical signals after propagation through calibration target PICs.

📋 Requirements

  • Deep understanding of CW and pulsed lasers.
  • Expertise in fiber amplifiers, optical splitting, and light distribution architectures.
  • Experience designing hardware for rack-mountable systems or production-ready infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage vendors and drive progress in complex, fast-paced environments.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience in quantum photonics.
  • Experience designing calibration or metrology hardware for advanced optical systems.
  • Experience with numerical modeling and simulation of optical systems.
