💼 About This Role

You'll gain hands-on experience in a small animal practice under veterinary supervision. This externship builds your practice-readiness through direct patient care and mentorship. You'll participate in all aspects of patient care from history taking to surgery.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Gather histories and perform physical examinations under supervision
• Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans with mentor guidance
• Scrub in to surgery and assist in medical case management
• Produce SOAP medical records within daily practice limits

📋 Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited DVM program
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Must carry professional liability insurance (e.g., AVMA PLIT)
