💼 About This Role

You'll provide strategic leadership for Umoja Biopharma's analytical development organization, overseeing release and characterization methods for cell and gene therapies. You'll define the company's end-to-end analytical strategy in partnership with Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory. This role reports to the CTO and is critical for IND and BLA submissions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead analytical method development for gene therapy products
• Define and execute the company's CMC analytical strategy
• Author regulatory submission sections for INDs and BLAs
• Manage external contract laboratories and vendors

📋 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
• 15+ years in biopharmaceutical development
• 5+ years building and leading high-performing teams
• Expertise in flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR, and cell-based assays

✨ Nice to Have

• PhD in a life sciences discipline
• Experience with BLA submissions
• Previous role in a fast-paced biotech
