💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and evolution of scalable data platforms for healthcare data collaboration at Datavant, a trusted platform. Your work will enable operational visibility and BI modernization across cross-functional systems. You'll mentor engineers and drive technical decisions that balance scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead design of scalable data platform infrastructure and modeling patterns.
• Drive complex cross-functional initiatives balancing technical tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers on data modeling, orchestration, and operational excellence.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development or data engineering.
• AI-first mindset with hands-on AI-assisted engineering tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Deep expertise in modern data modeling with dbt, Apache Airflow, Python, cloud technologies.
• Strong experience in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Terraform.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or regulated industry.
• Administering Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack (dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Databricks).
