Description
As a Sales Engineer at AfterShip, you will support revenue growth and product adoption by partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to articulate AfterShip's value and technical fit. You'll act as a trusted technical advisor, conducting technical discovery, designing solutions, delivering demos, and troubleshooting integrations for mid-market and enterprise customers.
Requirements
- 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting within B2B SaaS
- Proven experience with customer-facing technical discovery, evaluations, and implementations for mid-market or enterprise customers
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows (REST, webhooks, JSON)
- Experience designing and troubleshooting multi-system integrations across platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop)
- Familiarity with modern SaaS architectures and event-driven workflows
Responsibilities
- Engage prospects in consultative, discovery-led approach to understand business goals and technical constraints
- Translate requirements into scalable solution designs and deliver tailored demos, solution walkthroughs, and proof-of-concepts
- Work directly with APIs, integrations, and data flows to validate real-world use cases and troubleshoot complex technical challenges
- Define solution architecture, workflows, and success criteria pre-onboarding and partner with Customer Success for smooth transition
- Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams
