💼 About This Role

You'll join Storyby's engineering team to build the backend for entertainment tech products serving millions of users. You'll design and optimize APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability. This role offers the chance to work on globally recognised platforms.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Implement and maintain API endpoints for web and mobile
• Optimize performance through profiling and caching
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest
• Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Strong SQL skills including indexes, profiling, and query optimisation
• Proficient with Git workflows and collaboration
• Ability to prioritise and distinguish critical tasks

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with GCP (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Storage)
• Familiarity with Firebase (Auth, Firestore)
• Knowledge of SOLID, GoF patterns, Clean Code
