You'll design backend services and data pipelines that power partner-facing reporting for Upstart's AI lending marketplace. Your work directly impacts how capital flows through the platform, supporting scalability and reliability.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and evolve backend services and reporting APIs
• Build data pipelines delivering accurate loan data under strict SLAs
• Improve system reliability through automation and observability
• Lead cross-product platform capabilities like unified APIs

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years experience building and operating backend systems
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar backend stack
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines like Airflow or dbt
• Experience owning systems end-to-end including on-call

✨ Nice to Have

• Fintech or capital markets experience with high data accuracy
• Knowledge of Databricks, ClickHouse, or Looker
• Experience with REST APIs or file-based integrations for partners
