💼 About This Role

You'll join Scarlet's Devices function to assess and certify innovative medical device software and expand into hardware medical devices. You'll be our first specialist with deep active-device expertise, charting a path towards fast and efficient active device assessments. You'll build processes, incorporate relevant standards, and defend our methods to external experts.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Get authorised to assess technical documentation of innovative active devices
• Build Scarlet's processes for assessing active medical devices
• Become internal expert in active hardware medical devices
• Incorporate relevant standards like IEC 60601-1 into assessment process

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in manufacturing, auditing, or research of active medical devices
• Minimum 2 years experience in design, manufacture, or testing of active medical devices
• Knowledge and experience implementing IEC 60601-1 family of standards

• Analytical reading of normative texts and requirements
• Knowledge of implantable devices, biocompatibility, and sterilisation (ISO 10993)
• Highly adaptable and autonomous in ambiguous tasks
