Description

You will lead the evolution of Monzo's global FX strategy, acting as the architectural bridge between Treasury, Data, Product, and Engineering squads. Your mission is to build a scalable, automated execution environment, oversee FX risk management and hedging strategies, and drive efficient internal risk aggregation to unlock new revenue streams.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a high-paced, high-flow FX environment (bank, asset manager, broker, or payment company)
• Proven proficiency in executing and managing live exposure across spot, forwards, swaps, and NDFs
• Future-focused mindset with interest in blockchain and DLT transforming FX settlement
• Analytical rigour with familiarity in large data analysis and proficiency in Python or SQL
• Strategic communication skills to translate technical Treasury topics for Product and Engineering stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an automated execution environment to optimize netting and minimize hedging costs
• Develop and maintain relationships with external liquidity providers for efficient pricing and optimal liquidity
• Architect data-driven FX hedging strategies in partnership with Data, Product, and Engineering to unlock new revenue streams
• Take ownership of the FX execution framework, proposing enhancements to policies, controls, and systems
• Expand Monzo's global currency footprint, leading Treasury readiness for new markets
