Description

You will design, build, and activate advanced manufacturing facilities as the subject matter expert on HVAC, compressed air, piping, and dust collection systems. You'll perform CAD modeling, fluid analyses, and work with interdisciplinary teams to support SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years experience with fluids components such as valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers
• Hands-on experience with fluid handling systems preferred
• Experience with NX or other CAD packages, GD&T per ASME Y14.5-1994 preferred
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Own and be the subject matter expert on fluid/HVAC components across campus
• Perform CAD modeling and design of fluid systems
• Conduct fluid analyses for pressure balance, component design, and consumables determination
• Work with interdisciplinary customers to meet requirements of production and other programs
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable, supporting transition to production
