Description

You will design custom instrumentation for extreme environments, develop integrated electro-mechanical assemblies, and perform structural and thermal analysis. You'll work hands-on in manufacturing and lead design reviews to advance Starship avionics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems, or electrical engineering
• 1+ years of experience with mechanical or electromechanical design and analysis
• Experience with CAD and FEA software
• Proficient in hand calculations, FEA, and CAD
• Understanding of structural analysis and failure modes

Responsibilities

• Design custom instrumentation for extreme thermal, dynamic and pressure environments
• Design integrated product solutions for fluid and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Perform thermal, structural, and tolerance analysis using hand calculations and FEA
• Conduct failure analysis related to thermal, loads, vibration and shock
• Lead design reviews and interface with machine shops and production teams
