💼 About This Role

You'll lead machine learning and decisioning systems for personalization, LTV prediction, and real-time optimization at NerdWallet. You'll design causal inference frameworks and production ML models that directly impact revenue and user experience. This role offers significant autonomy to shape the technical direction of data science.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement causal inference frameworks for incrementality measurement
• Build and scale LTV models for real-time decisioning
• Develop and deploy personalization models for ranking and offer selection
• Ship production ML models for marketplace optimization and budget allocation

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in applied ML, causal inference, or experimentation
• Deep expertise in causal inference methodologies (uplift modeling, DML, etc.)
• Proven experience building LTV models for real-time applications
• Strong production ML experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with marketplace optimization or ranking systems
• Familiarity with contextual bandits or reinforcement learning
• Knowledge of streaming data architectures and feature stores
