You will serve patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures. Your role ensures specimen integrity and compliance with standards, directly supporting diagnostic accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Certificate if required by state
• BS/BA degree preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical standards

Responsibilities

• Verify test requisitions and patient identification
• Obtain blood specimens via venipunctures and finger sticks
• Maintain specimen integrity and track collected specimens
• Resolve unusual test orders and maintain quality control
• Manage logistics, patient reports, billing, and courier scheduling
