💼 About This Role

You'll support The Athletic's People team by executing core HR programs and building trust-based relationships with employees and managers. You'll help ensure a world-class employee experience across a remote US-based team while learning to coach managers and contribute to People initiatives.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for employee and manager needs
• Support delivery of core People programs (onboarding, offboarding, training)
• Build relationships with managers and employees through regular communication
• Assist with employee relations matters and maintain data integrity

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• 0-2+ years of professional HR or relevant internship experience
• Working knowledge of core HR areas and employment laws
• Ability to learn how to coach and support employees and managers

✨ Nice to Have

• SHRM or PHR certification or interest in pursuing
• Proficient with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
• Interest in employment laws and HR best practices
