Description

You will provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following a physician's plan of care. This PRN position involves traveling to patients' homes in the West Liberty, OH area to administer treatments that relieve pain, restore function, and improve mobility.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an associate's degree in science or applied science
• Current CPR certification
• Licensed driver with a reliable automobile and insurance meeting Ohio laws
• Minimum 1-year clinical experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant; home health or community health preferred
• Effective communication skills and ability to ambulate throughout patient homes including stairs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist and physician's plan of care
• Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage
• Maintain clinical records and conference notes within prescribed time frames
