💼 About This Role

You'll define the multi-year data architecture for Heartflow's AI-driven cardiac platform, spanning transactional databases, a Data Lake, and pipelines. Your work will ensure clinical, imaging, and operational data is structured, governed, and accessible for AI agents and downstream consumers. You'll set standards for data modeling and query performance across a regulated AWS environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead data strategy for the medical device system across transactional and analytical platforms
• Oversee database performance, uptime, backups, and incident response
• Own enterprise data models for clinical, imaging, and operational domains
• Architect Data Lake and data pipelines with governance and lineage
• Advance semantic structure for AI agent context and compliance

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years in data architecture for regulated platforms
• Expertise in relational and cloud databases (PostgreSQL, Aurora, Snowflake, Redshift)
• Proficiency in data modeling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault) for healthcare domains
• Experience with Data Lake/lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta, Spark, dbt, Kafka)

• Knowledge of healthcare compliance (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience with semantic layers and ontologies for AI enablement
• AWS certifications or deep AWS ecosystem expertise
