You'll design and build high-performance backend services for Airwallex's FX and liquidity platform, supporting global payments infrastructure. Your work will directly impact reliability, scalability, and correctness of systems processing billions in transactions. Collaborate closely with product, treasury, and risk teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build backend services for FX pricing and execution.
• Contribute to microservices architecture with Kafka, gRPC, and SQL/NoSQL.
• Implement robust controls for pricing, limits, risk, and reconciliation.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating backend systems in production.
• Strong programming experience in JVM languages (Kotlin/Java) or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals (concurrency, data consistency).
• Experience with REST/gRPC APIs and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

• Experience in financial markets, payments, or high-integrity systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
