You'll support a government client in Arlington, VA, providing front line response for digital forensics and incident response and proactively hunting for malicious cyber activity. You'll analyze network traffic to identify threats and recommend containment measures.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity
• Coordinate with cyber defense staff to validate network alerts
• Document and escalate incidents for further action
• Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of direct cyber defense analysis experience
• Experience developing and deploying signatures
• Experience detecting intrusions via Snort
• Experience implementing incident handling methodologies

✨ Nice to Have

• GSEC, GCIH, or GCIA certification
• Python programming experience
• Experience with Carnegie Mellon SiLK tool suite
