Description

As a Shift Lead, you will provide technical leadership to the metallography team, distributing daily work, training technicians, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. You'll work alongside the team, handling sample preparation and microscopy for aerospace materials, while supporting your supervisor with feedback and performance reviews.

Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on metallography, microscopy, hardness testing for aerospace
• Proficient in sample preparation: precision machining, polishing, etching
• Familiar with standard test methods and aerospace materials
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train others

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and distribute daily work to MET Lab team
• Ensure team follows work standards, safety protocols, and 5S upkeep
• Train and mentor new and existing technicians
• Monitor equipment status and report delays or changes to supervisor
• Provide feedback and deescalate minor interpersonal issues
