Description

As a home care Occupational Therapist with BAYADA, you will provide rehabilitative care through home visits to adult and geriatric patients in Lee County, NC. You will evaluate functional status, develop individualized intervention plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help clients remain safely at home.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina Occupational Therapist license
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Minimum one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of patients' functional status including muscle function, endurance, ADLs and IADLs
• Assess cognitive, psychological and motor aspects of performance and develop individualized intervention plans
• Evaluate home environment for hazards and barriers; identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations
• Educate and instruct patients and families in rehabilitative care and activities to promote independence
• Accurately document observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet
