💼 About This Role

You'll lead a small cross-functional engineering team to deliver core features of Hiive's platform, using AI tools to accelerate development. You'll own the software architecture top-down and mentor engineers to level up their skills. This role offers high ownership and direct collaboration with founders at a fast-growing, profitable company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead a cross-functional team of 4-6 engineers to deliver high-quality releases on time.
• Hands-on development with TypeScript, React, or Elixir.
• Own software architecture across the team's functional area.
• Champion AI adoption in the development lifecycle.

📋 Requirements

• Leadership experience with cross-functional engineering teams of 4-6 engineers.
• Hands-on expertise with React and TypeScript or Elixir and Phoenix.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with TypeScript and GraphQL.
• DevOps experience (infrastructure and deployments).

✨ Nice to Have

• Building GraphQL APIs with Apollo Client and Absinthe.
• Experience with Vercel and Next.js.
• Postgres database design and optimization.
• AWS and Kubernetes with Terraform.
