💼 About This Role

You'll create matte paintings for a CG animation production, collaborating closely with layout, modeling, lighting, compositing, and design teams. Your work will directly contribute to the aesthetic vision of the production alongside the Art Director. This short-term contract offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work within BC.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Create matte paintings for elements and visuals
• Collaborate with layout, modeling, lighting, compositing, design
• Work with supervisors and Art Director on aesthetic vision
• Handle Art Director and client revisions

📋 Requirements

• Industry experience as a Matte Painter in CG or VFX
• Painterly skills with stylized cartoon work
• Knowledge of Nuke, Maya, and Photoshop
• Currently legally eligible to work in Canada

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Katana or Houdini
• Experience with 2.5D projections and asset-modeling
• Previous experience with Autodesk Flow Production Tracking
