💼 About This Role

You'll own the lifecycle of ocean freight imports from China to UK/EU ports, overseeing port operations and inland distribution. You'll coordinate with origin teams and forwarders to align shipments with demand using WMS/TMS tools. This role offers a hybrid work model with quarterly in-person team weeks in Lincoln.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage ocean freight imports from China through UK/EU ports
• Coordinate with origin teams and warehouses for shipment alignment
• Optimize buy-sell freight using spot vs. contract strategies
• Lead relationships with forwarders and carriers
• Develop SOPs and analyze logistics KPIs

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years in international logistics with ocean freight focus
• Deep knowledge of China to UK/EU shipping lanes and Incoterms
• Proven success managing freight spend and negotiating rates
• Experience with TMS/WMS platforms and logistics data analysis

• Fluent in English; additional European or Mandarin language skills
• Experience in a high-volume importer or freight forwarder
