💼 About This Role

You'll join Airbnb's Guest and Host organization to build localized, trustworthy experiences for European markets. You'll own key company-level problems, driving critical projects that impact booking surfaces, payments, search, and pricing. You'll collaborate with teams in San Francisco and globally, mentoring junior engineers and architecting scalable backend systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and implement complex features with performance optimizations
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Booking, Pricing, and Listings
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing
• Define and improve coding standards, development processes, and best practices

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering in backend/full-stack development
• Java and/or Kotlin experience
• Expertise in large-scale service-oriented architectures
• Mentorship experience with junior developers

• Bachelor's/Master's in CS or equivalent
• Experience with workflow orchestration systems
