You'll join BeReal's small tech team to scale the backend for a social network with 40M+ monthly active users. You'll own high-autonomy decisions to ship features fast and handle millions of concurrent users in 2-minute windows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Tackle technical challenges from spikes of millions of users in 2-minute windows
• Contribute to robust architecture supporting massive scale across countries
• Collaborate on new features for the app with product and engineering teams
• Analyze trade-offs and address backend technical challenges

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years experience on API distributed architecture
• Go experience developing high-volume API microservices
• Self-reliant in a startup or similar environment
• Master's degree in computer science or related field

• Experience with Node.js (NestJS, TypeScript)
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub
