Description

You will lead the Inventory Dealer Data Science team at CarGurus, developing and optimizing machine learning models that power our automotive marketplace. You'll oversee the full ML lifecycle from R&D to production, partnership with Product and Engineering, and build a high-performing team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data science or ML engineering
• 2+ years of people leadership experience
• Deep expertise in ML models for classification, regression, ranking, and recommendation
• Experience deploying and owning models in production with MLOps practices
• Strong Python skills with scikit-learn, PyTorch, XGBoost, numpy, pandas

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and evaluation of ML models for inventory and dealer intelligence
• Facilitate experimentation, A/B testing, and measurement of production models
• Build and develop a high-performing team with coaching and performance assessments
• Drive innovation and adoption of best-in-class ML and AI practices
• Participate in roadmap planning and align team work with business priorities
