Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs for Star Trek Fleet Command, a top-grossing 4X MMO. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable microservices, optimize performance, and ensure security. You'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Strong experience building high-availability backend systems for large-scale games or high-traffic apps
• Proficiency in Python and frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Tornado
• Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance optimization
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and cloud deployments (preferably AWS)
• Deep understanding of backend security principles

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems and APIs in Python on AWS
• Implement scalable microservices architectures with low latency and reliability
• Collaborate with game and platform teams to deliver backend solutions
• Optimize server performance and analyze system bottlenecks
• Strengthen backend resilience and security against exploits and cheaters
