Description

In this role, you will deploy firmware updates and security patches to networking equipment for multiple clients in a Managed Service Provider environment. You'll ensure devices remain compliant with vendor recommendations, troubleshoot deployment issues, and document patching activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Network Engineer
• Hands-on experience with enterprise patch management solutions
• Working knowledge of routers, switches (L2/L3), firewalls, remote access, MFA, DNS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, QoS
• Strong background with Cisco (ASA and Meraki), Fortinet, and SonicWall
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Deploy firmware updates and security patches to routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
• Monitor patching schedules and document successful and failed updates
• Troubleshoot patch deployment issues and escalate unresolved problems
• Work with vendors to address patch-related bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance issues
• Document maintenance schedules, patch deployments, and resolutions in ITSM system
