Description

As a Staff Solutions Engineer at BlackSky, you will bridge sales, product, and engineering teams to shape opportunities and drive strategic alignment. You'll design technical solutions for key customers, support proposal development, and help the organization quickly assess feasibility of new business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years as Enterprise Solutions Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, or similar geospatial intelligence customer-facing role
• Experience in client-facing pre-sales role
• Strong understanding of software sales cycle and requirements gathering
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to C-suite

Responsibilities

• Act as primary technical resource for capture and business development activities
• Scope technical solutions addressing customer requirements and propose mutually beneficial solutions
• Design solutions architecture with current BlackSky capabilities
• Provide thought leadership to support business areas in retaining and growing work
• Lead winning solution development for growth opportunities
