Description

Lead the Revenue Accounting team at Cockroach Labs, overseeing revenue recognition, billing, and AR operations. You will shape accounting policies, partner cross-functionally, and scale the function in a high-growth startup environment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition
• Experience leading or managing a revenue accounting team
• Ability to design and improve accounting processes and controls
• Collaborative cross-functional partnership skills
• Experience with external audits and special projects

Responsibilities

• Review revenue contracts and document treatment per ASC 606
• Oversee monthly closing activities including journal entries and revenue conclusions
• Manage Billing team and track AR metrics like DSO
• Partner with FP&A, Sales Ops, Legal, and Sales on non-standard contracts
• Scale revenue accounting team for domestic and international expansion
