Description

You will own the Design-to-Simulation loop for next-generation dexterous hands, bridging Mechanical Design and Control. You'll build high-fidelity simulation scenes and teleoperation pipelines to validate human-like dexterity before machining, directly impacting hardware design through iterative validation in a digital twin.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Robotics, CS, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years experience with robotic simulation (Isaac Sim or MuJoCo)
  • Strong understanding of USD file format (composition arcs, layers, stages)
  • Strong Python skills; C++ is a plus
  • Solid understanding of kinematics, rigid body dynamics, collision geometry, and spatial math

Responsibilities

  • Champion Design-to-Sim workflow: develop tooling to convert CAD to USD assets optimized for Isaac Sim
  • Design and implement evaluation environments in Isaac Lab for dexterity benchmarks
  • Implement and maintain teleoperation retargeting interface between human input devices and simulated hand
  • Create automated workspace kinematic analysis tools via Python scripting in Isaac Sim
  • Partner with hardware team to measure and reduce sim-to-real gap through grasping stability comparisons
