💼 About This Role

You'll provide legal counsel on complex commercial deals and product counseling for Mapbox's location platform. You will own the deal from start to finish, drafting and negotiating data in-licenses, customer sales, and automotive OEM agreements. This role offers real-world impact in a fast-growing pre-IPO tech company with a collaborative remote team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Negotiate and draft complex data in-license and sales agreements
• Partner with product and engineering on customer use cases
• Improve operational processes and update legal forms
• Provide practical risk mitigation advice across varied projects

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of practicing attorney experience
• 2+ years in-house at a tech company in sales-side commercial transactions
• JD degree from top-tier law school and active US state bar membership
• One of: technical degree, 2-4 years software patent litigation/prosecution, or extensive API/SDK experience
