As a Senior Software Engineer on the Streaming Platform team, you will design, develop, and operate distributed data streaming platforms that power real-time, reliable, and scalable data streaming across Robinhood's products and infrastructure. Collaborate with product, data, and ML teams to scale the platform, improve reliability, and enhance developer experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in software engineering including distributed systems at scale
• Background in tools like Kafka, Flink, and Debezium
• Proficiency in event-driven architectures and stream processing systems
• Passion for platform engineering and creating great developer experiences
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams

Responsibilities

• Design and operate distributed data streaming platforms scaling to billions of events per day
• Develop secure, performant, highly reliable systems using Kafka, Flink, Debezium
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data, and ML teams to support diverse use cases
• Build tools and documentation for a smooth developer experience
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions and technical strategy
