Description

You will work on the distributed foundations of CockroachDB, including resource management, transaction layer, and replication layer. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure fault tolerance, availability, consistency, and performance. Develop in Go and help build a scalable, survivable, and consistent database.

Requirements

• Passion for working on complex technical products
• Exposure to distributed systems, consensus, data replication, concurrency control, file systems, or SQL processing
• Experience with systems languages such as Go, C, C++, or Rust
• Experience designing distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Develop in Go to contribute to the growth of CockroachDB
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the KV layer
• Work closely with engineers and product managers across cloud and database teams
• Foster collaborative culture and exchange knowledge with technical organization
• Ensure CockroachDB remains scalable, survivable, and consistent
