💼 About This Role

You'll own the success of flexible photovoltaic array blanket assemblies that power K2 Space's large satellites. You'll bring PVA blankets through qualification and drive integration onto Mega-class spacecraft. This role offers ownership of a critical subsystem from concept to on-orbit operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Take PVA blanket assemblies from conceptual design through qualification and on-orbit operations
• Lead design reviews covering power and mechanical requirements from kickoff to qualification
• Drive hardware development through prototyping, testing, analysis correlation, and design iterations
• Perform trade studies on blanket construction materials, cell laydown, and lamination methods
• Develop and execute component and assembly-level test programs including qualification testing

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or other relevant engineering discipline
• Experience with CAD or FEA software packages
• 2+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience designing, building, and testing flexible or composite assemblies for aerospace applications
• Familiarity with photovoltaic cell handling, interconnect processes, and lamination techniques
• Understanding of space environment effects on materials and assemblies
