Description

You will lead the architecture, design, development, and validation of electronics and electromechanical actuators for flight-critical systems in an all-electric aircraft. Responsibilities include end-to-end hardware ownership from specification through production, designing fault-tolerant power electronics, and performing testing and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 8+ years of electrical system and circuit board design experience
• Experience with inverter technology for variable speed motor drives (MOSFETs, gate drivers, PWM)
• Proficiency with power electronics: passive components, converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC), and motor control
• Experience with schematic capture and simulation tools (Altium Designer or Xpedition)
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, EMC analyzers, and circuit analysis

Responsibilities

• Design fault-tolerant actuator controllers including motor drivers, sensors, and power stages
• Own hardware from specification through design, prototype, validation, and manufacturing
• Perform power electronics design, analysis, and testing for EMC and lightning
• Conduct schematic capture, PCB layout, and design reviews
• Analyze test data and perform root cause analysis on prototypes and production designs
