Description

You will guide the build of electrical and mechanical distribution from upstream critical equipment to compute/storage/network infrastructures, understanding design intent and customer expectations. This role involves onsite daily interaction with construction trades and subcontractors, managing schedule and quality control in the field.

Requirements

• Experience in data center construction or white space fit out
• Strong project management skills with ability to oversee schedule and budget
• Onsite presence at Chicago/Elk Grove area data center projects
• Ability to travel overnight as needed

Responsibilities

• Directly interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and project closeout phases
• Monitor project progress through updated schedules, communicate changes, and manage client expectations
• Identify and negotiate time extensions where justified and allowed
• Manage project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for new builds or capital projects
• Resolve scope problems with subcontractors and union labor
