💼 About This Role

You'll build a new firmware test automation function for a body-worn camera platform, creating a reliable daily regression system that pulls the latest builds and runs automated suites. You'll own the end-to-end pipeline from deployment to reporting, focusing on video and streaming validation. This hands-on role combines embedded Linux automation with hardware-in-the-loop testing.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement automation framework for embedded Linux firmware
• Build daily pipeline: fetch firmware, flash devices, execute suites, publish reports
• Automate camera workflows like recording, device lifecycle, and video validation
• Perform stress, soak, and resilience testing including network impairments

📋 Requirements

• Strong experience building test automation for firmware or embedded systems
• Strong scripting/programming (Python preferred; Bash/Go welcome)
• CI mindset: can build unattended daily execution with artifacts and easy triage
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP; practical debugging)

• Video validation using FFmpeg/ffprobe
• Streaming validation using GStreamer (RTSP, WebRTC)
• Wireshark/tshark experience for network trace triage
