You will drive coverage that gets inside Big Tech companies and startups, illuminating Silicon Valley culture. You'll assign and edit creative, engaging stories covering topics from LLMs to robotics, manage a team of reporters, and collaborate across geographies.

Requirements

• Experience covering tech or high curiosity about the industry
• Proven track record of excellent news judgment and journalistic success
• Great communication and listening skills
• Experience developing newer reporters and inspiring star journalists
• Well-versed in beat reporting and sourcing tactics

Responsibilities

• Edit and strategize on agenda-setting tech stories, scoops, features, and enterprise
• Oversee and guide a team of reporters in source development, breaking scoops, and strong writing
• Advise and coach reporters to deliver original reporting
• Juggle edits for scoops, exclusive features, and ambitious projects
• Collaborate across newsroom teams to enhance tech coverage
