Description

You will serve as the technical leader and end-to-end owner of advanced thermal management components and subsystems, leading design, development, validation, and lifecycle support for Scout Motors' electric vehicles. Your work will directly contribute to revolutionizing the electric pickup truck and rugged SUV market while carrying forward an iconic American brand.

Requirements

  • Deep technical capability in thermal management components (cooling modules, HVAC, refrigerant circuits, battery thermal systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers).
  • Experience as a Design Release Engineer (DRE) leading design, development, validation, and launch of complex thermal hardware.
  • Cross-functional leadership and supplier management expertise.
  • Proficiency in CAD, PLM, DFMEA, tolerance stacks, and material/process specifications.
  • Ability to resolve complex system-level issues and provide technical mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior engineering authority and single point of responsibility for assigned thermal systems across multiple vehicle platforms.
  • Translate vehicle-level thermal targets into component-level technical requirements and specifications.
  • Lead system integration with vehicle controls, electrical architecture, software interfaces, and packaging constraints.
  • Direct creation, evolution, and approval of CAD models, drawings, and documentation in PLM environment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive DVP&R plans for thermal components and subsystems, and support vehicle builds and testing.
